Unfortunately, after extensive evaluation by our migration engineers, there were certain accounts that we were not able to migrate to the new Verio technology platform. We have made several attempts to notify any account holders whose accounts could not be migrated.
These accounts remain hosted on the old platform, which is scheduled to be taken offline on January 16, 2017. Account holders have until January 16th to find another hosting provider.
If we were unable to migrate your account, please know that we value your business and do not want to lose you as a customer, but our first priority is to make sure that your website, email, and related services continue to work correctly. As that will no longer be possible on our hosting platform, we recommend you find another place to host your account as soon as possible. Because we are unable to continue providing services for these accounts, you will receive a pro-rated refund for any remaining time on each account’s current payment term when the old platform shuts down.
Another option would be to recreate your account on the new platform. All new Verio accounts are set up directly on the new platform, allowing you to avoid the migration process altogether and move your files and databases directly. If you select this option, please let us know — we’ll be happy to reimburse you for any billing overlaps that result.
If your account was not migrated to the new platform, and you do not act by January 16th, your website, email and other services will be taken offline when the old platform is dismantled, and your data will ultimately be deleted. In fact, we recommend that you back up your files now to a local machine (i.e., your computer’s hard drive, not the Internet) to prevent any data loss when the old platform goes offline.
